Communicating With Others
My assignment was to read the Introduction to Stuart Hall's Representation and write down any key, meaningful, or repeated words. As I read it I noticed that he repeated the words culture and language multiple times throughout the passage. He explained how we communicate our culture and thoughts in more ways than just speaking. For example, the fashion industry uses clothing items, writers use words and musicians use music notes. That being said, I decided to form a guitar with the significant words that I found in the passage. I felt like it was a creative way to express the meaning of what I read. Overall I felt as though this was a beneficial way to highlight the import pieces of the article and form it in a creative way.

ReplyDeleteI like how your wordle or whatever website it came from is shaped like a guitar. It was an interesting assignment that we had to do becuase it made us recognize what was important.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice little assignment. I like how the words that stood out in most of the designs were the main words everyone picked as the most important. Your design was really creative too. Very nice.
