The Blind Side Hero

In The Blind Side, Leigh Anne Tuohy and Michael Oher are both heros in my eyes. Mrs. Tuohy saves Michael from having to live on the streets. He wonders around late at night and being the kind woman that she is, she gives him a place to stay. She later shows him what it is like to be a part of a family and have people who care about you and want to see you succeed. Michael saves Mrs. Tuohy by showing her that she should appreciate what she has. He is such a nice guy and so grateful for what little things she offers him. She beings to open up not only her home to him but her heart as well. Michael teaches her family, as well as everyone at the school, that he is a kind and athletic young man if they give him a chance to prove it. They are both heros because by becoming a family, they show others that that doing a good deed can make a difference in someones life. They in return make an impact on their town. One line that stand out to be the other is when Mrs. Tuohy's friend says to her, "Honey you're changing that boy's life." Mrs. Tuohy's response is, "no, he's changing mine." That line sums up the entire meaning of the movie.

  1. I really like this movie. I agree with you that they are both hero's and they both contributed to each others lives in a positive way.

  2. I like how you included a direct quote from the movie. Didn't Michael also save her sons life?
